    Does anyone know if it is possible to send a message on LinkedIn to someone who you are not yet connected to? Is this possible to do without upgrading your account, which of course requires you to pay.

    @inteammarketing Yes. If you belong to the same group, you should be able to message them. I get stuff all the time!

    Are you trying to message them, or connect with them?  

    @kc_kreative‘s right. If you see that you don’t share any groups w/that person, consider joining one first.

    You can also ask for an introduction from an intermediary. 

    Alternatively, if you know their email address you can message them…of course, then you could message them outside of LI!
