Looking for Mobile App Development Platform (3 posts)

  • I just finished a demo for a mobile app development platform. Nearly drag and drop simplicity, ability to pull in RSS feeds, create buttons, geo location, etc. w/o having to look at the underlying code.

However, I found the product a bit pricy for what it offered, and in looking at how many profitable apps we’d need to build per month to make our money back.

Wondering if anyone else could recommend a mobile app development platform that our developers (who are savvy in development, php, etc.) could use to build mobile apps for our clients.

  • You’re probably talking about DragonRAD. Yeah, its a bit pricey per year per developer but, imho, almost any price is worth it if it saves tons of $$$ per developer per year.

I’ve never used DragonRAD but I read-up on it a bit. It looks quite powerful and complete.

Me? I’m more of a regular engineer that uses Eclipse for Java development, XCode for iPhone/iPad, and Dreamweaver for PHP (sometimes Zend) so I can’t really recommend a rapid mobile app development environment. Good luck!

  • Hi their Rich…. You may want to take a look at my profile / website or send me an e mail.
