Linking to multiple Twitter accounts from website (4 posts)

  • hi all,

On my webpage there is some built-in space with ‘latest tweets’ from 3 different accounts. Now I want a ‘follow us’ button in the navigation bar also linking to these 3 twitter accounts.

I only got space left for 1 button and have 3 related Twitter accounts. What would you recommend in this situation?

    - link to a new (landing) page with these 3 accounts?

    - link to a specified hashtag with tweets from the 3 accounts?

Or anyone knows another way to do this?

    thanks a lot,

    Patrick

Linking only to the most important Twitter account.

Asking someone to click through to a page, then to choose (or choose all) Twitter accounts is asking a lot.

Always have one strong call to action, otherwise you risk people choosing nothing at all, out of fear they’ll choose the wrong account, or be overwhelmed w/tweets.

  • You are right about clear call to actions. Right now there isn’t 1 most important Twitter account sadly, so there is something to discuss. Thanks for your answer!

  • HI @patrickknibbe

What with customer accounts, I only keep one account for myself and it pertains to business and personal.  This is what social media is all about – putting yourself on the line – if someone does not like me (my tweets) they also may not enjoy working with me.

I seem to get a better choice of clientele by keeping it all in one place. No twitter guru here – but I do use and love the platform.  Exposure counts for a lot.
