LinkedIn Lead Generation Tips: What’s Yours? (9 posts)

  • Last week there was a report that came out about LI being the best social platform for lead generation.

Do you use LI for lead gen? Are you using primarily the profiles or have you started to build up your business pages as well?

  • @rich-brooks I have just started building the company page–so far just an overview, but Products and Services will be next.

I use the groups and discussions a lot; it helps to “get known”–and I get a fair amount of connection requests that way.

But so far the best use has been to promote an event, webinar or teleseminar where my goal is actual conversions in my target market to sign up and opt in to my newsletter. I am a huge believer in the numbers game, so the more of my target prospects that sign up, the more opportunities i have to find the one who needs my services and is attracted to my approach.

  • @rich-brooks just like @joanmuschampfagnani, we have recently started using LI company page. We were trying to create page since long but everytime we got error saying “sorry a company page can’t be created at this time…”  i don’t know reason of this bug but finally we are there now! First thing i did after creating LI page was jumping to sme article abt LI tips at  http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/6-powerful-linkedin-marketing-tips-for-small-businesses/ and we are now in the process of defining goals, structure and strategy of the page at LI. We are also planning to use LI ads. Don’t know if they are more efficient then google adwords and fb ads but we heard of many successful cases using this LI ads and hence we decided to go with it. Any suggestion? comment?

  • @rich-brooks @joanmuschampfagnani @moinshaikhsorry for the late reply to this – i have built my company page set up all the different products but just cannot seem to get followers on there! people are happy to hook up personally but company no and seems the same with our Facebook – Twitter seems to be the only one doing much! Gets quite frustrating and you wonder whether to just stop as it is time consuming.

Is it worth email direct to linked in contacts?

Any good tips or you reckon the link above should be sufficient?

  • btw @moinshaikhi have done all those things listed in the SME blog post and still no good…

  • Hey everybody, if you want to do a LinkedIn swap, I’d be happy to follow all of your listed pages if you follow mine. =)

  • We use LI for list building/lead generation.

In our service company LI is used to find targeted audience Realtors an  real estate investors. Ones that are connected to people I know were the first we connected to.
Once connected my company starts to send useful information to them. Since  I personally am highly involved in the real estate and investors community it is easy to send useful information to those on the list, naturally my contact info and websites are put in. Never have sent  solicitation  only to them, just info or news they can use.

  • I have a newsletter marketing business that provides chiropractors and audiologists with a marketing newsletter they can send out to their patients. I have been on LinkedIn for several months and have a lot of connections so far.

But what now? I don’t want to be disrespectful or come across as a spammer, but how do I build relationships with my connections and convert some of them into subscribers to my newsletters?

I know the basics; send emails to my connections and provide helpful information and comment in my groups but what I’d like to know is the frequency I should do these things — primarily sending the emails to my connections.

Any input of the exact steps to take on a daily or weekly basis would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
