LinkedIn images not showing when attaching a link (4 posts)

    Hi All,

    I’m hoping someone here can help me.
    Recently, when I post an update to LinkedIn with a link to one of the articles on my website, an image from the link doesn’t get pulled in.

    You can try it yourself if you like – try creating a LinkedIn status update with the following URL - http://www.stuffedweb.com/how-to-add-a-twitter-cover-photo-to-your-profile/ (you don’t need to actually post it – but don’t let me stop you).

    I’m thinking it’s a problem with my website as the images work with other websites.

    Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    You’ve tried posting the same thing to Facebok and the image shows? Sometimes it’s just the way a particular page is created.

    Yeah, didn’t work for me either.

    Thanks for the response @rich-brooks. The image works fine on G+ and Facebook (I have a selection of 12 images on FB!).

    I have tried clearing my browser cache, website cache, different browsers, even clearing cookies (not that would actually help).

    I put the same question on LinkedIn answers and have had nothing useful back.

    Any other suggestions are most welcome.:)

    I don’t know if this will interest anyone, but according to LinkedIn this is a bug they have with their system.
    They are aware of it, however they said they don’t have an expected fix date.

    I asked if they have a temporary work around, or could suggest a code change on my website that might help the issue – they don’t currently have any solutions to it.

    Hope that saves someone the weeks of research and messages back and forth to try and fix this!
