LinkedIn Group Feeds on your website (3 posts)

Topic tags: API, linkedin
  • Hello SME’ers, a friend of mine wants to know if she can add a Twitter-like feed to her webpage using a LinkedIn Group. Has anyone heard of an API for that? What might be the alternatives? Is there any reason that she shouldn’t do this? (I’ll reserve my thoughts until I hear yours.) Thanks!

  • @kc_kreative

I’ve not heard of anyone doing this. My first question would not be COULD it be done, but what would the value be to the site visitor?

  • @rich-brooks That was my thought too. I guess if you had a restricted group for customer support or idea exchange, seeing the Group on your website might be useful.
While I was trying to answer my other question, I came across this API: https://developer.linkedin.com/documents/groups-api
“The API enables members to view and interact with groups off of LinkedIn.com with the same business rules that apply on the LinkedIn site. Data available includes group profile information, discussion posts, comments on posts, and likes.”
