  • Is there any way to link twitter and/facebook updates to your company page on linkedin?  I

  • Jaime –
Check out Hootsuite.com.  They have a free version that allows you to schedule tweets and posts to up to 5 platforms I think.  Used them in the past and they were pretty user-friendly!

  • I use hootesuite for my company facebook and twitter accounts, but when I try to add my company linkedin page, it keeps adding my personal one??  I’ve literally driven myself crazy trying to figure this out :)

  • @jaimetyler I know you can do this with LinkedIn- go to your LI profile and Account Settings, and there are Twitter options. You can have all tweets show up, or only those you want, which you designate with a #in in the tweet.

  • @jaimetyler

I haven’t seen a way in Hootsuite or any other tools to connect to your LinkedIn Company Page, just your profile.

If you find out some way, please let me know!

  • Jaime, please don’t go crazy! But if/when you figure it out, let us know. @jaimetyler

  • @jaimetyler @rich-brooks – looks like you have to be a Hootsuite Enterprise client for now.  http://hootsuite.com/enterprise

  • I dont think any clients offer this even hootsuite I went to link above @maureendenny and says nothing about linked in COMPANY just linkedIn?? I have looking for this for months and not come up with anything as yet – really not sure why companies such as HS have not set this up yet!

  • @mambamedia – Doing a Google search this appears to still be in beta.  The parameters were you needed to be an Enterprise client of Hootsuite and then apply to be part of the beta.  Here is a blog that talks more about the relationship between LinkedIn and Hootsuite.  http://blog.hootsuite.com/linkedin-certified-developer/. There doesn’t seem to be any recent updates since Oct. or Nov. 2011 so either they are having some issues or they are still testing the interface.  I’ve been totally immersed on a project and now just getting back into the social media world.  In just the last few days I am finding that there have been lots of changes that I need to get familiar with. PHEW!

  • @maureendenny thanks for posting the blog reference.  I wish I would’ve read this before turning my brain to mush trying to figure this out!!

  • @maureendenny Yeah thanks! I was convinced that there was no option available.

  • Hey all, Hootsuite now does allow posting to your company LinkedIn page in the free version.  I just set mine up yesterday.
But unfortunately there’s something buggy going on – although it seems to be on LinkedIn’s end, not Hootsuite’s.  The link in my status update posted via Hootsuite lead to a media.gm.com webpage, not my own! I tried updating the status directly on my company page and attaching the link, but instead of listing versustech.com as the URL under the title, it listed media.gm.com in the preview, so I didn’t make the post.
Additionally, instead of showing the <title> of the attached page, LinkedIn showed the first words it came across in the HTML, which happened to be a photo attribution.
Frustrating. Anyone else having similar problems?  Any way to work around this?

  • yes it is great news! However yes I also just tried and does seem buggy – i posted a video and the post does not show the video image and is not creating the post in the correct way either – however the link does go to the video.

  • I figured out the problem with the wrong link must have been due to Hootsuite’s ow.ly link.  When using that URL, whether via Hootsuite or directly, it links to media.gm.com… but when I use the direct URL, it works properly.  LinkedIn is still not pulling in the page title, though.  Instead it looks like the title of my article is “Photo courtesy PeaceHealth”  :-/  Can’t really use the feature if this continues to be an issue.

  • This is working great on Hootsuite for me. Yay! It just what I needed!!!

  • @amyhallbiz

    Happy for you :-)
