Hi there!
I just signed up for Klout which apparently measures your online influence from your social networks….
I was curious if anyone else uses it and finds it valuable. I’m just learning… looking for more experienced users to help me understand it.

@melissabruno1 — I use it as a personal thing for fun w/ my friends, but businesses wise I don’t think its all that accurate. Could be wrong though, just my opinion

@melissabruno1 I have an account. however, due to some past unethical issues of theirs, I disconnected my Facebook account. Of course this means my score suffered a bit.
They apparently have modified their ranking algorithm so it is supposed to be better now. Klout is popular and offers perks so enjoy playing around with it. I did have fun giving points to my Twitter friends.Check out MyWebCareer too.

I enjoy the free subs I sometimes get at Subway from Klout.
Outside of that, however, I feel it’s a joke.
I have seen people who I know don’t understand the first thing about social media w/huge klout scores, and other people who are much more influential with lower scores.
Just the fact you can “gift” someone +K shows how easy it is to game the system.
It’s a fun conversation piece, nothing more. (IMHO).

@melissabruno1 agree with most people here about using it at some degree and getting addicted to it. I also use klout and have experienced sharp move in score with major contribution on twitter. Thanks!

not a fan at all and tried to cancel but not sure how – I just revisited and it said 10 then suddenly once logged in it jumped to 36 and it never seems to move from there! Clearly dodgy!
@rich-brooks i agree I was getting loads of interactions etc one week and score went down then another week i did nothing it went up so do not think its accurate.
Any idea how to cancel my account completely or not show up?

Klout cannot truly be a judge; against what exactly? No parameters to speak of, so the numbers don’t, can’t and won’t add up.

Pretty much a big ZERO in the worth department. But, of course, like everything else, we give it a try. Now the circus gates are locked. Not a funny clown in sight. *sigh.

Is that elephant dung I smell? yeck
