7 months ago: DURING AND CONCLUDING with three years in the Sports Information Office, wrapped up a degree at Purdue U. in 1982. Two weeks later, was editing “Overseas!” Magazine, in Heidelberg, (West) Germany. Enjoyed that job for the next three years. In the middle of that, in January 1983, nearly killed myself on my first-ever ski trip, in Verbier, Switzerland. To this day, I do not recall why I wanted to try, try again to learn how to ski, but I did. Between then and now, have actually learned how to ski… and how to instruct — as a PSIA Level-1 ski instructor.
“They” say that when one pursues his passion, he’ll never have to work another day in his life. For many years, my passion has been Alpine skiing. I’ve spent a year or more, total, in the Swiss, Austrian and French Alps. And now, the passion has led me to launch Ski the Snow/Pound the Powder, specializing in group ski tours to the Alps. We will use Facebook and the internet for our primary marketing and promotional needs.
So… do you ski? Know of a group or club of skiers? Tell us where you might like to go, including your price range, and we’ll set you up!
If any of you are skiers, we will turn to “locals” to serve as trip captains.
Ski Heil! and Thank You!
