infusionsoft? anyone heard of or using it? (10 posts)

  • In my search for the ability to sell downloadable information products, I have run across this company:  http://www.infusionsoft.com/ It also offers autoresponders and other services. Just wondering if anyone has used it or knows about it.Thanks.

  • @deairby Well i have not personally used it but Mari Smith uses the service, so i bet it must br great for her to be using it.

That’s the best i can tell you about them

  • @deairby It’s my understanding that Infusionsoft is more expensive than other services and somewhat difficult to get ramped up.  You might want to look at this one called 1 Shopping Cart http://autowebbusiness.com/app/default.asp?pr=71&id=203262

It’s not too expensive, and you don’t need another email marketing service either.  It is easy to integrate with most websites and does very well with the majority of merchant accounts/gateways

  • @deairby – I’ve worked with it before about a year ago.  It’s very powerful, meaning you can do a lot with it.  Most of the people I know who are using it started out with a less expensive option and then converted to Infusionsoft.  MailChimp is a good free option and Aweber is also one that is low cost.  They each have pros and cons depending on what you need it to do.    Infusionsoft is really flexible but not the easiest product to use.  I would spend some time on their website looking at a few demos and videos.  Here is a link to some of the training videos http://help.infusionsoft.com/training/video-tutorials.  It will give you a better idea.  MailChimp.com also has some online training.  They probably all do to a certain extent.  Hope this helped and didn’t confuse you!  Good luck!

  • @deairby – Here are the links to MailChimp and Aweber -  Not sure if they will work exactly how you want them to. This guy show how to do it thru Aweber and PayPal here

  • My business coach used and has for years. I know a few other sites I purchase off of use it also.

    Hey Dea,

I have used Infusionsoft extensively.  It is a cool marketing automation (email) tool however getting to understand it is a challenge just because of the sheer volume of things you have to do to get it set-up.

When you sign up, you’re required to purchase a package which is around $2000 and then a monthly fee starting at $199 per month.  The $2000 is really for training and if you are going to spend the money to use the service, you’ll need it.

It’s super “comprehensive” aka difficult for anyone that doesn’t have a decent background in email marketing/automation.  It is a great product however you’d be better off hiring someone to run it for you that already knows the system and how it works.

  • Hi Dea,

I’ve been researching Infusionsoft for a while and my only contention is that $300 a month might be a drawback if you are just starting out with your business.

I definitely started cheap, and intend to upgrade as my business justifies the cost.

Some years ago I had the opportunity to be instrumental in Six-Sigma lead management system that helped identify cross-sells & up-sell opportunities and define automated processes that took care of such micro groups.

Infusionsoft does that exactly and it does a good job of it too. But one does need to create those mini-campaigns to identify & act on the micro opportunities available. In the right hands and with a bit of patience it is a very powerful sales tool.

Otherwise, it can be a bit complicated – and you just might be better off starting off with a much simpler service.

  • thanks for the input everyone… will probably go with mailchimp for now because of the cost… @shiprasaid @dannish247 @joanmuschampfagnani @maureendenny @davidhebert @iamconsulting

  • Plenty of big time marketers use Infusionsoft. It is pretty expensive and has features you may pay for and not use if you are a small business. From what I know, most people not doing a million dollars a year or more on the Internet find aWeber and Mail Chimp are more than adequate for their emailing needs.
