Hey all!

                I was browsing through the forum list and didn’t find any topics that address my question. If I missed one, please redirect me! 

I’ve been exploring Infographics lately and I’m fascinated by how well most designers manage to organize data & still capture the viewers attention. I know hiring out Infographic design can be a little pricey (correct me if I’m wrong, please). I’ve looked for various quotes from different graphic artists, as well as a couple sites including visual.ly.com , and they are out of our budget. 
So… I’ve decided to explore the idea of creating them myself. Has anyone tried this before? If so, I’d love for you to point me in the right direction! 
It would be awesome if any of you have had any success/failure with Infographics & would be wiling to share your experience.
Your thoughts are deeply appreciated!

Try out one or two and see how easy and/or intuitive they are for your skill level. Sometimes the choices out there can be mind-boggling. If you find you need a web graphic designer after all give me a holler.

@geoffrey-gordon Thank you so much for your input! This is great stuff!! @alexandrabriggs That’s so cool! Thank you for all the valuable info. It’s a great point Maria makes about visualizing how the customer wants to see the data organized. I’m definitely going to keep that in mind! 

I’ve gone back and forth to http://Visual.ly a couple times. I’m on it right now checking because I saw this post. 

There’s an option of “life of a hashtag” and you just enter a twitter hashtag and it puts in the information. There’s only a few options but it could give you some extra content for a blog post. 

Hey guys, I was doing some research and I heard http://infogr.am/beta/ is actually planning on launching a In-Design like app on an icloud pretty soon. I’m not sure if its just rumors or if it’s the real deal, but I’ll be sure to let you all know if it’s indeed true
