Can anyone recommend a good program or service to develop infographics? Ideally it would be easy to use for someone with average tech skills, limited or no real design talent and inexpensive enough for a small business or individual to afford.

I can recommend http://www.infoglyphs.com.  I used them at a previous job and they were excellent!

Last week we created an infographics, and it was not an easy job. We did it for 3 days in a row, and the design part took most of the time. (It’s partly because of the perfectionism of my colleague.) My biggest question for now is, how to spread the word about the infographics… I would like many people to see it (as we created it with an educational & marketing purpose), but it didn’t get a lot of pickup yet.
