I am a ’Pioneer’? How do the gradings work on Social Media Examiner? (8 posts)

    Can you help me out in understanding the grading system. I have looked on the site but couldn’t find anywhere that describes how the gradings work and what the different levels are. I found my points (Activity account) and understand that these scores contribute to my rankings but what are the various gadings / levels. i.e. Pioneer, explorer, scout etc?
    I was genuinely excited to become a ‘pioneer’ the other day :)

    Karl, welcome to SME. You will have the opportunity to learn so much. The badges change as you accummulate points (I think you’ve seen that.)     The ‘Getting Started Guide’ doesn’t inform us of what your badge is at various ranking levels and the the ‘cute little badges’ post dances around some rankings / levels that people have seen but clearly there is no specific reference to the levels on the forum.

    Perhaps it’s part of the fun of being here. :) A nice friendly reward for participation.

    Hi Folks.

    Yeah – this was a question I also asked when I hit that first badge after Scout.  It’s fun to see where you’ve been but they are pretty heavy handed here about giving us the scoop on what is to come. Some people have figured that out as they scaled the ladder but the thing is the points system was changed dramatically over the summer months.  I have no clue what might be coming next at this point. 

    But I can tell you this – it takes a lot more points now to gain a new designation than when I first joined.
