How to spread an infographics? (7 posts)

  • We created an infographics for marketers on how they can take advantage of Valentine’s Day. http://antavo.com/online-marketing/valentine-s-day-for-marketers-infographics We have a lot of work in this single infographics, and we want it to get more pickup. We want our target audience (me, you marketers, marketing managers) to see and share this infographics.

What do you think, how to spread the word about such a content? I know it’s worth to hype. What channels should I use?

    I appreciate your suggestions.

  • @zsuzsaszab I’d spread your infographic over four separate platforms.

    1. Pinterest – The amount of infographic spread over this platform is amazing. Anything that captures the imagination of the audience is quickly shared, shared again and then shared again.

    2. Twitter – If you really believe this is a valuable resource, you can tweet out a link to the infographic numerous times a day, as long as you explain its’ value and give reasons why marketers should view it.

    3. Blog Post – Creating a blog post explaining the value of the infographic and easily breaking down what content it is sharing, into easily digestible bullet points, will go a long way to having it spread. Have a call to action at the bottom of the post should spark some conversation, as well.

    4. Facebook – You can’t go wrong with posting it on Facebook. Even if only five people share it, you never know how it will spread after that.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!

You also want to reap the benefits of SEO for your infographic. Here’s a good article on how to take advantage of that aspect: http://www.infographicdesign.org/using-infographics-for-seo-link-building-infographics/

  • I think @sbush  and @rich-brooks hit the primary ones. If you want to do some research, find some key B2C marketers and send them a Direct Message and link to the infographic.

  • Thanks for the link, great info. @rich-brooks

  • @rich-brooks Rich, this post just found my on twitter! The marketer blogosphere is so small :D
Joan, thanks for the wise thought! @joanmuschampfagnani

  • @sbush Scott, these advices are very useful, thank you! I just discovered Pinterest, and I find it very useful! (My strategy is to follow people who already uploaded infographics. There is no more direct way of letting ppl know about my infographics, right?)

Yes, Twitter might be good, so far we didn’t have such a big community, but this infographics made me a good reason to follow ppl and find followers. And they keep coming!

We already do the Facebook and the blog thing. I think only one very important person or medium (Amy Porterfield or Mari Smith or the Entrepreneur or Mashable) should pick it up then the success is guaranteed – and I believe the infographics is worth to hype.
Do you think reaching such online marketing edutainer starts or mediums is feasible? And how? (Because now I feel my mails are getting lost in the crowd of other mails these important people receive.)
