Also, if you have an email newsletter you can invite people that way as well, just providing them the link and making the suggestion.
You should also be clear about the benefits, and provide value once they get there so they learn to trust your recommendations.

I just watched a Hubspot webinar on using linkedin company pages yesterday and two of the big ways they suggested where including the link in your email signature and as a CTA at the bottom of your blog posts.

I have tried messaging all my contacts and asking them to follow my page. But I am not having a lot of success. Is there any app or way to have an ebook download available if you follow the Company. I am in the Business Journal Social Madness contest. I won our local competition but am competing Nationally starting Tuesday. One of the measurements is growth in the Linked in Company pages. I have 500 plus contacts and lots of groups but this “CTA” is difficult. If anybody knows of any sources to figure this out please let me know. Thanks–I am also willing to follow other companies if that helps….??my Company page is Chicks Chat and ChangeAll suggestions appreciated!! Ann Zuraw @azanswers

@petaminter12 one other thing you could do is joining groups in your niche market over linkedin and share your news with the relevant ones; this will give you more exposure and in turn more followers as welland now that Linkedin has introduced the like button, if you start liking news from others, you will get like in return too
