Help! (6 posts)

  • So I actually have time this weekend to work on my website(really awesome if only you knew). I would like your feedback on voiceyourweb.com and please let me know what you would change with the website. Is there something that doesn’t make sense? Do certain links not connect? Does there need to be more colors, less colors? It would be greatly appreciated to have any and all of your input!

  • on the About Us page, make the links open in a new tab. you want people to see your work and not forget to go back.

you have a testimonial section that is empty. post something, or remove it.
I like the look, spacing, ease to read and colors.
    blog is rather empty.
what is most important, Education, Consulting, Social Media or Website design. I hope Education, or it should not be at the top of the list.

Are you sure that you are equally good at design as social media? Most people think they are, but (although they don’t know it) they should really only be doing one or the other.

  • @mikid15 no call to action above the fold and no call to action on the first page at all

  • Good good thoughts@amyhallbiz and @richardmclaughlin. I am actually in the process of changing it to just being communication online and offline. It is my partner in the business who does mainly web design and I have done mor social media. But now it is just me and so I want to do how to communicate both online and off.

  • Hi Michaela @mikid15

I don’t know if it’s me or my personal preference but the black seems a bit too harsh or the peach color is not quite right.  ??? I am not sure these two colors should be the only colors on the pages (other than the home page).

I sometimes use Color Scheme Designer  to help me get the colors right.

  • I found that the site is slow to load and that may discourage traffic. You might consider making the font a little darker or thicker, interesting content, I am sure people like to return for updates. Can I suggest that you add some social media buttons at the bottom of the posts(before the comments). My feeling is that if I like the content, I want to tweet to my friends and also to acknowledge the work done by the blogger, I do not know what others think and do. I am also thinking that if you are in the social medium business that you are going to have to make social media a big part of the site. On this site are many bloggers who are pretty advanced in the field, perhaps you can check into what they do as they have paid the price in order to establish their careers. I just know that some of them have very effective tools on their pages that you may think about adopting for your site. Good luck with the site…. daveM
