  • Dear,

My website has been set up for 12 months, mainly sell online BJD,pet products and some  women clothing, but still now the daily IP is lingering during 100~140,whatever i try,it never reach 150.     My first question I want to get help is why the IP is so stable, always 100~140,seldom more or less,I am not sure if it is controlled by Google or Bing by some kind of exposing policy,if not why is so stable.     My second question is how to promote my web, which is the key element, and what is the priority?     If you have any suggestion please share with me,by the way next is my web.

  • * List you details on free web listings* Have a blog on relevant topics to your business* Link your blog to facebook & twitter* find like 4 like with facebook groups who might be your target customers* Have a profilr on LinkedIn and build a company page

All of this when connected effectively will assist with traffic. It’s a lot of work!

  • @donald

By “daily IP”, do you mean your visitors?

Not sure why it’s so stable, but I doubt it has anything to do w/Google or Bing.

Not sure what you mean by “exposing policy.” If you want to go outside Google and Bing, take @amanda-hoffmann‘s suggestion and do more social media to build more paths to your site.

That being said, I’m not sure what your site is all about. It’s obviously an e-commerce site, but the products seem very randomly chosen. Barbie dolls, full wigs and pet carriers all share time on the home page.

Even Amazon started with just one category of products before branching out.

Maybe you should create a site that focuses on one type of product rather than everything.

    Good luck.

  • HI  @donald –

I’m also not sure what the IP thing you are talking about is related to, in actuality.

As far as SEO – you do need a little work on that.  I don’t see “wholesale” or “drop-ship” in your keywords for the home page.  Instead of focusing on the product lines themselves you may want to shift just a tad to the reason people will shop with you – your services as a wholesaler and drop-shipper. Of course the lines you offer should be there but I’d not make them the focus of the home page.  I’d focus on the product lines on individual pages.

Naming conventions with a multi-product website are more complex than a focused product website and falls into a a different category for onsite SEO.

Places like Target, Wal-Mart and those types of places (although branded) have a great success with individual pages because they have SEO for the products done individually, per page.

To break out in your area, my opinion is to back up and take a long hard look at the structure of your SEO for the website itself.

  • Hi Eileen,
Thanks for your good suggestion,It means visitors when i talk about the IP. Wal-Mart Web looks like has some kinds of themes not just list products there,It’s really a great help to me. I want to focus on three types of products,Pet products/BJD/clothing,do you have any suggestion on how to deployment my web profile, thanks again.

  • Hi Rich,

Thanks for your great suggestion, focus on one category is also my concern, but I am worried about I do not have enough products number list on my web,and that will less record in search engine.also that will make me change my sales mix strategy,Could you give more suggestion on this, thanks.

  • Hello @donald

    Example – Naming Conventions —

For some reason you have “personalized gifts” under “beauty and fashion” and that category should fall under Holiday and Seasonal as the items there are mostly Christmas decorations. There are also some Halloween and Valentines items there so why they are under “beauty and fashion” is a mystery.  Not to mention most of those items should fall under the ‘Christmas’ moniker.

On the page where those item now reside you have this for keywords:

    Consumer Electronics,Hobbies & Toys,Household Goods,Beauty & Fashion,Children’s Goods,Women Clothing,Pet Products,Barbie & Accessories,BJD Doll,Left-handed Supplies,Wedding Dresses,Holiday & Seasonal,Taobao buying agent,Women clothing,BJD,Pet products,Personalized Gifts

Likewise the description does not denote what is actually for sale on the page.

What you should have is ‘Christmas Decor’ and list some of the items by name: christmas decor, christmas stockings, christmas hangings, etc.

THIS is the kind of detail I was talking about – organization for the items for sale is a key factor for each and every page to draw attention to the items for sale as far as SE indexing goes.

    Eileen
