Google Browsing History – New Privacy Policy (3 posts)

  • I recently came across this article http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/320137
and was surprised that Google was logging my browsing history since 2007. Does anyone else know of any other privacy settings with Google, other search engines or even social media platforms that need to be modified so they don’t collect information automatically?

  • As I tell everyone (clients, friends, family) — anything that you do on the Internet/WWW is totally tracked and analyzed. Everything. Sometimes the tracking and analysis is crazy detailed, other times not so much.

Don’t do anything on the Internet that you would be embarrassed about. If you do, it’ll surely come back to haunt you in years to come.

But, yes, continue to do business as usual. Continue to browse and shop and buy. Continue to do banking and just about anything that helps reduce the carbon footprint of everything else we already do in life.

    OK, back to work.

Not only are they logging it, but they’ve been altering your search results because of it! (For better AND worse.)
