Google Analytics – Wordpress (7 posts)

  • I have a blog in wordpress and would like to use Google Analytics to view my stats.  I need help activating Google Analytics so I can view the data inside wordpress.  Can anyone help?  Thanks

Sure can!  Accept my friend request and we can chat.

Normally you don’t view your GA data from within WordPress. You use a plugin like the All In One SEO plugin to place the code on your site then view your GA stats via your GA dashboard.

Not clear: are you trying to see GA through the WP dashboard? As @scottmadden mentions, not sure if you could.

However, you could always have another tab open w/GA in it. Do you need help setting it up and configuring it?

  • Hi @rich-brooks yes, I was hoping to see GA through the WP dashboard…probably will need help.  Away now until Monday.

    Thanks,

  • @dongrandy, I use a plugin that lets me see the basics on the Dashboard, & if you want a small snapshot with each post/page (in the list that shows your posts/pages) – do a search for “Google Analytics for WordPress” in the Wordpress.org plugins. This particular plugin is nice because if you are logged into Google, it will find your Analytics profile & connect the two – you don’t have to do any code work.

It would be great if the entire analytics could be pulled in, but I haven’t seen this either.

Personally, I’d recommend just having a second tab open so you could quickly switch between WP and GA would be faster and more efficient, but maybe there’s something I’m missing.

Sounds like @designbykiltz may have found a partial solution for you.
