  • In Outlook, you can give make an image in your signature a hotlink.  I cannot figure out how to do the same in Gmail.  I have added links and I have added images, but I can’t figure out how to make the image a link.  Suggestions?

  • Bless you Dee !  I have friends that swear by GMAIL but for the very reason you just pointed out, I stay with the tried and proven OUTLOOK.

  • Can a signature be made a link in Yahoo Mail? Can a photo be added to one’s signature in Yahoo Mail? Thanks, all!

  • there is a Chrome extension called AutoPen that I used to make mine complete with social media pbadges and a qr code (vcard)

  • @deereinhardt I have logo links to my social media sites in Gmail personally and at work. My company uses Gmail instead of Outlook. There are quirks but you can link images. Now to remember how I did it….
Add your image and then highlight it. You should be able to hit the “link” option on the menu and add your link. My standard sig is below (SME put in the extra spaces).

  • @kc_kreative thanks that was exactly what I needed to do.  Appreciate the assistance!

@richardmclaughlin I had found the spot to do it, but I missed the highlighting the image and adding the link.

  • I love Gmail! I think it’s the best email out there. I use Wise Stamp for my html images. :)

I cannot stress how much I love Gmail and everything Google. I use to use Yahoo! Mail and figured that all email providers were the same.  I was completely wrong.

Once you start using Google products, you will see how great it is. Google makes it an easy and unified experience.  With stuff such as Android, Google+, the greatest search engine, Calendar, Reader, and so on under its belt, its hard to not like it.

I do not work for Google, but I can honestly say that it is the future.

  • Dee, thanks for starting this thread. This collected information is great. @deereinhardt

  • If you’re a Mac user and have multiple Gmail accounts you’ll love the app http://mailplaneapp.com it doesn’t change the Gmail look or interface, but allows you extra options and the ability to stay logged in to more than one account. It does cost a little, but it’s well worth it. I run all my websites with the Google Apps and gmail for my email server. Using MailPlane I can have all my emails inside one app.

    Another Gmail tip …

Anyone get annoyed the signature file is always added to the very end, past all the replies etc. Instead of directly under your current message?

There’s a way to fix that … if you go into the settings (look for the gear), then to the “labs” link (3rd from the right) then in the search box once your in labs, start typing “signature” and you will see a “signature tweaks” option … just click on the enabled radio button to fix.

    Enjoy … Scott

  • @scottprock Thanks for the app info. I’ve been too busy to fool with the inconveniences that gmail has caused me, but by the same token, too enthralled with all its benefits to much care. That little app will cure many of my woes. Thanks again.
