Flickr Markup Language (3 posts)

  • After having a few accounts deleted by Panoramio which is a product from Google i have decided to try Flickr. The thing is in Panoramio i used a markup language which gave me an anchor text that is hyper linked and i was wondering if anyone know what the language is for Flickr.

It is frustrating when an account get deleted without knowing what you did wrong as i per my perception i am sure i followed the guide lines.

I really would appreciate if you can help me out.

    Thanks

  • There’s not much you can modify on Flickr, but in the descriptions of photos, you can use regular HTML to create URLs. They put “no follow” into any hyperlinks, so your Google ratings won’t benefit from the URL being mentioned in the Flickr description. I try to create lengthy descriptions of the photos I post (they’re usually scientific technical equipment or historical, with one hyperlink back to our main web page, and the other linking to a web page that contains content relevant to the photo. You can visit our page at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/llnl

  • @bertievg just an FYI, I’m moving this to the Small Business forum since it’s a better fit there.
