    My friend raves about Empire Avenue so of course I went and signed up. I was instantly overwhelmed. “I just don’t have time for this” I thought. Looks like a game. So I’m asking you SME clubbers,  ”Is this something I want to commit resources to in my social media strategy? If yes why?”

    I’m on it – although I don’t know if I take it so seriously that I consider it part of my social media “strategy.” It’s more of a game. And it tends to measure the frequency of your activity on different social media channels, so if you’re very active on a variety of channels, perhaps you’ll like it. I’m not sure you will based on what you’ve said, so try it out for a week or two, then see what you think of it. But I wouldn’t consider it a very serious part of a strategy.

    It is so complex, that I just don’t have the time to commit to learning how to “game it” I would like to hear someone who is seeing real conversions from this. I mean talk about ROI. That will require a lot of time, and for what? But again, my friend swears it works!

    I received an invite today, not sure if I will accept yet…because it sounds like ‘blog explosion’ so far…hope I am wrong, tried that for about a mo., it was very time consuming, didn’t understand a lot of it and produced no results for me.

    Any suggestions welcome…has any one tried blog explosion? Is it the same?

    I was unfamiliar with it until I ran across this thread, so I looked it up.

    Now that I’ve looked it up, I still don’t get it.

    I’m sure there is some value there somewhere, but I’m not really seeing it.

    I want to revisit this thread, now that some time has passed. So I am posting to bring it back to the top. I have been more active on EA, and I am finding some potential value, for certain groups. Hey  @chrisloeser have you had a chance to really test it out and form an opinion? 

    Anybody else on EA?
