    II have a client that has asked me how and where to buy a good, legitimate email list for a certain niche. Does anyone have any feedback on finding a good source for this? Good and bad experiences?

    I don’t believe there is such a thing.

    Yes, I know many businesses buy lists, but the quality is poor, and you can’t use them in legitimate email service providers like Constant Contact or AWeber.

    I’d recommend instead trying to develop an opt-in list over time. I’ve found that using “email bait”, a white paper or other giveaway, is a great way to increase your subscriber base quickly.

    Slow and steady…

    I didn’t know if there was a legitimate email list service out there that’s why I thought I’d throw the question out there. But I must agree with your advice here Rich.

    @sully There are professional media relation agencies on the market – like meltwater news here in Europe. Those companies manage email and contact-lists of journalists and media personality their customers can use for campaigns. But those lists are quite costly and will probably not help you with your specific niche.
