Hey folks. I have an ebook on Wordpress Security and I’m trying to figure out the best way to get this out to as many people as possible. We’ve considered:
- Giveaway on our site
- Using it as a contest prize
- Amazon Kindle distribution
- Selling it on our site
The main goal with this e-book is to get it out to as many WordPress owners as possible. I’m not worried about the money, I want the exposure.

Give away on your site when people “join” by giving you their email addy, this builds your list AND gives them value. @mikelinville

Why restrict yourself to just one method? And yes, ditto Dea….collect the emails, but obviously don’t sell it on your site at the same time as as you do the giveaway, ANd also as a give away for facebook for a like. Have you also considered “Pay with a Tweet” (or a facebook share.) http://www.paywithatweet.com/ – give your book away and get tweets or facebook shares in return.

make sure you have links inside the book, like tweets from your website.
apple has their iBook tool, don’t forget it.
would you allow other people to give away your book as a bundle bonus?
how about an empireavenue mission?
