Dying for a twitter advertising club (8 posts)

Topic tags: Advertising, Group, Twitter
  • Does anyone know of a twitter advertising user group? I have been using twitter ads since october and would love to exchange experiences and tips.

  • No I don’t but I’d love you to share some of your experiences, tips and do and don’ts here if you could please?

Very interested to hear your thoughts.

  • Moving this over to Small Business Club where it could potentially get more traction

  • Hello @bibi-raven @scottlinklater

In case you are not familiar with twitter lists and how they work >>>

A list is a curated group of Twitter users. You can create your own lists or subscribe to lists created by others. Viewing a list timeline will show you a stream of Tweets from only the users on that list.”

Therefore you can have your own Twitter group by utilizing the list feature – OR use a hashtag to find and reply to others on the subject.

Always use the source if you know how.  This is also how we learn to use the tools provided by any SM site (like twitter) – use them for everything to do with the site.  You will usually find the best answers there.

  • thanks Eileen, I will see if i can find sources on Twitter. I do use a lot of lists for content curation, and to share specific groups with followers. I would prefer a user group though :) I did find one on linkedin but no one else in there has experience with twitter ads.

  • Scott, I haven,t been using it long enough to feel secure enough to give good tips…other than generic ones. like: don’t believe the suggested bids haha!I now target different countries, using promoted tweets, promoted accounts, and search results. The results differ a LOT per country. I do get a lot of engagement, but not so much website traffic yet. Then again I haven’t put that many links in my tweets anyway. I wanted to take it easy, to keep the emphasis on conversation and less on broadcasting. We did grow extremely in followers, that is one very clear result. SO, as you probably notice, I have not yet a clear idea on what is the best strategy. that is why i hoped there would be other end users out there :)

  • It’s amazing how little “airtime” it has received to be honest.

Thanks for that information too and don’t feel insecure, you are an expert compared to everyone else that isn’t using it so you know more than us :)

    Cheers

  • @bibi-raven
