  • Hi All,What is the easiest way to download a video that is on the web to your computer?

    Thanks,Steve

  • There are several ways. you can google you tube video downloader and there will be several hits. Of depending on your browser there are add on extensions you can use.

  • Download and install Firefox.  You can then add NetVideoHunter or DownloadHelper,  They will download all types, unless the video is actually blocked from downloading.  This is the best way I have found.

  • Just saw this now so you may have gotten you answer by now but…

If you are looking to copy the video file to your computer, and the video doesn’t have copy restrictions set, then try this:

    1. Find the actual URL link to the video.
    2. Right-Click on it and choose “Save target as” or “Save link as” and choose where to save it.
    3. If you only saved a link, it won’t work. If not, you should have a full video files on your computer that when you click it, your media player opens it up to play.

  • thanks for this info! John and Trudy @johnkelly @trudyd1474

  • @johnkelly funny, the only thing that popped into my mind was right click :)

  • and with audials one you can record any video file, protected or not, it just captures the screen and save the file in most common formats

  • Thanks for all your input @mikedigaetano @trudyd1474 @johnkelly and  @daniela-previtali.

Looking forward to trying these solutions.
