Do you use Social Media in your network marketing/direct selling business? (11 posts)

  • I’d love to get some tips and hints on how to build up a fan base and email list for a direct sales business. Anybody got any good ones?

  • @amyhall What are you selling?

  • @amyhallbiz What industry is this business in? What are you selling? How many purchases per year do you estimate consumers will make? Average sale price? Demographic?

  • @theodoresturos I have several clients that are in direct marketing… Mary Kay, Kangen Water, Pre-paid legal, Send out Cards, Izigg mobile marketing and Xango. I’m looking for new and different ideas of how to market them, so we can possibly break into a market that has been, prior to now, untapped!

  • @amyhallbiz

That is a tough one for me. I might start at using Google Keyword Tool and putting in each the businesses and their products/services to learn how people are searching in Google.

Then, I would create some high quality target market landing pages for each one using the highest value keywords that are relevant. If you are targeting a geographical region, I would also make target pages for each one of those. That has been hugely successful for both me and my clients.

The pages should be of a high quality design and emphasize action pics of the products or services being used by actual people. Just pics of products don’t work in my opinion as it’s to impersonal.

I would also have a social media pages setup and on the landing pages. By that I mean on Facebook, Twitter, Etc., for each client and have the links on the websites.

I think before you can really engage them, you have to know who the target market is and how to talk to them. You may have already thought of that, but just thought I would throw it out there.

You might consider some ppc ads on Google and Facebook as well.

Hope that helps or inspires some others behind me to help come up with some great ideas.

  • @donpurdum Thank you  for taking the time to answer me! I really appreciate it!

I’ve done some keyword research, have the landing pages up and using video on the landing pages. I haven’t set up fan pages… my clients are using their profiles, because they like the relationship aspect of the profile. (They get overwhelmed about additional social accounts to manage.)

We don’t do any PPC… we’re all organic, baby! ;)

The market is just so glutted with info for SAHM’s and business opportunities. I was hoping that someone would have some super secret spy ways to market these businesses.

  • @amyhallbiz

I understand, those super secret spy ways are hard to come by sometimes.

I would really need to know more specifics about the uniqueness of each business owner. That is the key for me to come up with that. If I can pull out their passions and interests, then campaigns and unique opportunities can present themselves that are fun, exciting, and help capture the market.

Hope that makes sense? Just my opinion.

  • @donpurdum The one common interest these people have is making money! lol and people. All of these people are real people people. Which is some of the reason they went into network marketing in the first place.

One of the sites we’ve done is http://robertrosenthal.biz He sells Kangen Water. He’s a fascinating guy and has had a very interesting life. His favorite thing in the world… him! lol that’s what his sit is all about!

  • @amyhallbiz

Branding an individual has worked really well for a lot of people. Both locally and nationally. Just ask Donald Trump (LOL).

  • You’ve really got to develop and capitalize on their personal brand to get some ummff. That’s the secret sauce if they’re going after cold leads. They need to talk about more than the financial opportunity – they need to highlight the strengths of their particular style of leadership and organizational structure so they attract the right people that will produce and feel “at home” in the organization.
