@mambamedia Karen, how dark was the green? I know there has to be a certain amount of contrast between the two colors… but unfortunately I don’t know what that amount is.

@deairby @robpeck was quite a light green (same as our logo colour – you can see on our website http://www.mambamedia.com) – so quite a contrast with the green and black..

Dea, obviously lots of interest on the subject here! We created a “personal QR code generator” about a year and a half back (side project) that’s gotten quite a bit of media coverage called JumpScan.com There’s no charge for it and it’s proven great for use as a virtual business card.

I used to have one on my Google Places Listing until Google took it away.I haven’t looked into creating a new one. Question: Is the QR code good for a internet business without customers stopping in or searching for your location?

We have lots! For our commercial real estate properties, we put a unique one on all of our flyers that go to that specific properties page. They can also be used on other marketing for that same property including signs.

@donpurdumI use qr codes on all printed materials…but I do not see the value of having them on a monitor where it is easier to link through rather than hold up a smart phone to a screen. Unless your intention is for when the page is printed. Thoughts?

@lisaschulteisHaha! Yes on a moving truck. I took a photo of one and end one of my classes with it to give us all a good laugh. Of course to take the photo, I needed to drive 85mph while my passenger took the shot!

Uqr.me is the one I use. You can change the destination without changing the code. Mari smith recommends it. Mine goes to my leaf which contains all my Internet properties.Of course it is printed onmy business cards and rack cards and anything else that goes out in print….why not? It is trendy and useful. They are not quite as visible in Massachusetts as they are in Arizona where we were recently but many things move from west coast to east coast.
