Did you check out the new aweber broadcaster? (5 posts)

  • In the past I have found aweber (one of the popular email marketing services) not so user-friendly when composing a new broadcast or trying to modify an existing template.

But now they have a new broadcast editor (in BETA)..check it out for yourself.

It’s now a “drag and drop” type of user interface/design.Yea!! I think its a great, needed addition.

    Enjoy, Heather :D

  • Thanks, Heather.

I’ve been using AWeber recently for my blog. It definitely feels like a power tool, but not as easy to use as Constant Contact, my email newsletter tool.

Will check out the new features to see if they’re any easier to use.

    Hey Heather,

I watched the video (or most of it) and it does seem interesting.  I am wondering if these are integrated into the Blog Broadcast feature.

  • Good question! They didn’t mention that (the Blog Broadcast feature)..but I will keep a look out and see if I can find out for ya!@mike-stelzner

  • @rich-brooks Oh yes, I really like Constant Contact and have used it for years now. It’s very simple to use all around.

However, I have assisted people who used Aweber (coming from Constant Contact) and they were saying it was very different and hard to use and I would do some HTML formatting for them etc.  I don’t think there is an image store location in Aweber so that was a feature that confused them or lack of.

So I decided to try aweber as well for their auto-responder functionality.  With constant contact there is one Welcome email you can format even tho you have have x amount of lists. So I do use that, but it would also be nice to be able to customize a “welcome email” (autoresponder) for each individual list so it can be more personalize vs. generalized.   So aweber has that ability and it’s a great feature (especially if you have many lists to manage).

So then I saw they had a Beta version of their new broadcast editor and was happy to see it as it makes it much easier to make and customize newsletters where people transferring from constant contact can make better use of it.

Anyway…..I have to look into the blog broadcaster that you and Mike mention. Funny how we can all use the same application and utilize different portions of it :D

    Heather :D
