Hello All,
My best friend has just finished writing a series of children’s novels and asked me if I knew the best way to go about getting them published. He has a list of publishers that were suggested to him but I wanted to know if anyone here had any suggestions. I greatly appreciate your help.

Hi James, there’s a couple ways of going about it. There’s the large traditional publishing houses,smaller indie publishing houses, and self-publishing. Joel Friedlander from the http://www.thebookdesigner.com does a good job of laying out all the facts for new authors. One of my clients is AudreyPress.com, and indie children’s book publishing house owned by author Valarie Budayr. Her recent enhanced ebook The Ultimate Guide to Charlie and the Chocolate factory was #1 in the iBookstore for a couple of weeks recently. She may be a good place to start for your friend. I am glad to see this thread has reopened. This is a hot topic for anyone in business right now. Publishing is open to everyone and finding a way to make it work might be worth its own social media club.
I have a dozen titles ready to publish and I am wading through the difference between ebook formats and platforms, learning Amazon strategies, marketing all of this with blogs for my authors.
There is a lot to learn and plenty to share.

Awesome news! I too have a few children books to publish and a few personal novels as well. I have looked into a few publishers, and the packages that I do like lean toward the more extravagant pricing. I know you get what you pay for but I am hoping to locate a publisher a bit more cost effective.
