@deairby @rich-brooks Rich is right. When email is sent to you, it goes to your ISP first then to your local computer. Your ISP is the place where your domain is registered or where your site is hosted. GoDaddy or BlueHost or NetworkSolutions or one of 1,000 others. it sounds as though they are keeping a copy of your emails on their servers and you have exceeded the storage quota. I recommend you call them, get through to tech support and ask them to fix it or to talk you through how to a) delete the backlog, b) change the settings so it will not happen again.
