As a owner/admin/wear-all-the-hats… what is your single biggest challenge (7 posts)

  • Just curious to see, as humans in charge of websites, what your single biggest challenge is?

For agency types that serve a lot of clients… what do you deal with day in & day out that makes your hair turn grey?

  • Good question. I also want to know.

  • are we on the right track?

and using our   efforts  the  best we can…i hate waste and  redoing  stuff…..

and i figure we can do about anything on line and in the store  ….but  choosing the right thing is  the  hard  part…

  • @Ann at greenoak

How do you gauge whether you’re on the right track? What are the KPI that you’re paying close attention too… is it sales? responses to promotions?

  • @chrisloeser well our  marketing  is    big and  general….we market in  so many ways  from billboards to database , our  best thing,  to our  website whichiss on  the  top  10  for antiques indiana,  to  facebook with  2800  fans,  and even a  blog….. so  we  dont  track like an online place can.and  we  dont sell online…..  … so i look at our  sales  numbers  and  they are way  up   ….we  have  broken our   monthly  records for sales  for the last  8  months….and our sales go  back to  some really  good times  before   the  recession….

we talk talk talk  to our  customers  and  hear about  facebook   many  times  every week….  so   we  are  crediting our  social media  work    a lot….keeping in mind  that our  actual  content  , whats in the store, is  the  very  first  thing  that  draws  customers and   return  sales…we make   decisions  all the time  based on  how we read our   data…

  • @chrisloeser My biggest challenge is time and working billable hours while doing the marketing I need to do to keep my business profitable.

  • @Amy Hall so do you find yourself working beyond “the norm” & your non-billable time is spent doing… what? follow-ups? leads? customer feedback & responses?
