Let me know what you think!

Feature: Blogging GoogleWhy Google-Plus Has No Competition

  • @irinashamaeva

What do you think the main takeaways are? Why should club members focus their attention on G+?

  • Hi  @rich-brooks - my post says exactly what I think is useful for the club members. The post is short & all the material is relevant, I think. Unfortunately due to my agreement with technorati I can’t repeat it here on the forum. If you read it I’d be glad to discuss!

    Thanks,@irinashamaeva

I did read it, but the goal of the Clubs are to have discussions here, not just send people offsite.

Often I have arrangements with sites (like my Social Media Examiner posts) where I can’t post that content elsewhere, but that doesn’t mean I can’t discuss the themes of the post somewhere else.

I.e., I wrote a post for SME on how to promote your events with social media, but I also talked about some of the same ideas on my own blog.

What I might recommend in the future is creating a post for people to read here, then let them know that you wrote a more in-depth post somewhere else and link to it.

Otherwise, we’re going to have all these posts that just drive people away from the clubs, which isn’t the intent. Thanks!

  • Rich,OK, sure.

I think anyone who is interested in using Social Media for business purposes should create presence on Google-plus and start experimenting with it. The reason I think so is that not only this will create some more social media exposure, it will help being found on Google search engine – which is where most people go to to look for anything and everything.
