Anyone else experiencing problems with TweetDeck? (6 posts)

  • For the past week or so, TweetDeck (now owned by Twitter) is telling me that my credentials have changed and ask for my password.

They hadn’t, but TD can’t seem to deal with that.

Quitting out of it and relaunching usually works, for a while. Oddly enough, the browser based version accepts my password w/o problems.

Anyone else experiencing this? Have a fix? I’ve reached out to TD about this but all I’m hearing is crickets.

  • @rich-brooks I use a pre-Twitter owner version of TweetDeck on my desktop. I don’t logout so maybe that’s why I haven’t experienced any issues?

  • HI @kc_kreative

Me too up until recently when I had all the computers upgraded – I loved that version too.  Now, we’re only using the online version though and have not had any problems with it, that I know of anyhowsen.  So far, knock on wood.

  • @supereb @rich-brooks I will have to check out the online version. Have you used the app? (I’m assuming that they have one!)

  • @kc_kreative

I haven’t; I generally don’t use it b/c it’s not as good as the desktop app and since the web browser version does work, I assume it’s something on the desktop app side.

  • Hiya @kc_kreative

No, I’m not into the apps like a lot of folks although I should be checking out more as time goes on.

@rich-brooks – I’ve wished a couple of times that I had the desktop version back but now I also use Hoot Suite and TweetDeck to keep my hand in, so don’t miss the desktop as much.

Have either of you tried out the Rockmelt browser?  I was invited to the beta version over a year ago (more than that maybe) and still find it to be really great when SM is all I will be doing online. However, they are NOT keeping it up to date at this juncture for PC/MAC.  Here is Rockmelt for ipad.
