advertising? (7 posts)

  • What percentage of your advertising is done online? How much of your online advertising is free? How do you measure the effectiveness of online advertising? Where else do you advertise? Are print ads a thing of the past?

  • I’ve only done my advertising through Facebook so far. In my case, it was effective, because I got “85 likes” in about 4 days, and the cost was only $30.00. So, I felt it was well worth it.

I’m not sure about print ads. In the past, I worked with a Realtor, and we did Craigslist advertising, print ads, and postcard advertising. She didn’t stay with the print ads. It could have been the competition in her area, as she lived in LA.

  •  thanks for your comments, Janet. How did you advertise on FB? Was it a pay per click? Did the likes actually turn into business?

  • Yes, it was pay per click. So far, it hasn’t turned into business, but it that was just two weeks ago.

  • @jgassistance that’s great for 2 weeks, I’m thinking of pay per click. Thanks for the input.

  • @deairby @jgassistance

I’ve never done advertising. Mine has always been some sort of online networking via LinkedIn or Facebook.

I’ve learned if you have good content people are interested in, and you have a way to tell them it’s there, they will usually follow you.

It might be a little slower and more work, but I have found they are more loyal and leads to a solid ROI, especially on LinkedIn.

  • @donpurdum Thanks, Don. Hey, if I can make forward progress without spending money, I’m liking that!
