It’s funny because speaking in round numbers is what most often happens. I can cipher and estimate my time fairly clearly just off the top of my head (most of the time) and tend to do the “round numbers” thing. It also usually works out OK.
I’ll have to think about that. AND sometimes, being the nice guy – I don’t ask them but when I quote I state that what I am charging is a fair price. Because I don’t overcharge or boost figures. So, there really is no negotiating. But then again, I do get my share of “no thanks” from time to time. Heh.
