Why is the Facebook exchange thread more popular than the twitter one? (8 posts)

  • I noticed the Facebook exchange thread is booming but the twitter exchange thread has hardly moved. Could this be an insight to people’s preference of Facebook over twitter? I mean if you compare the threads, they are radically different in the amount of activity. What does everyone think about this?

  • Where’s the twitter one? I am a tad overwhelmed with all the topics on here.

I couldn’t find a Twitter Exchange, so I started one here:

  • I had joined a Twitter exchange on LinkedIn. But it got out of control so quickly that my email inbox got swamped! And then so many of the people didn’t bother following back. So I withdrew.  But I’ll give it a try here.  We tend to be in similar fields, so the networking should be good AND fun!  The only thing I will ask is that we remember to engage on Twitter.  It’s the quality of the connections that count, not just the quantity.  Good engagement = good quality. Just like on our FB fan pages!

  • @jeaninevecchiarelli @warrenveach @casmccullough There was a Twitter exhange but I guess due to the structure of the forums its really hard to find. Now that there is one at the top of the list I pose the same question as in my first post lol

  • @sgsrecording

I  think the comparative activity is fairly indicative of people preferring facebook over twitter.

I know that I do have a Twitter account, but it remains largely forgotten until I get an email saying I’ve been mentioned or I have a new follower.

However, this year I am going to become more involved in tweeting…

  • I think a Twitter exchange thread may have made more sense in the Small Business Forum since we don’t have a Twitter forum yet.  We can’t move the threads at this point so I will just keep it here for the time being.

  • Off-topic, but fun
Thinking about these Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn exchanges (I am against them) I think it would be SOO hilarious to see something like Diabetics United is following Donnut Shop, or Support for Visually Impaired People likes Cute Dresses Page :) )
Hope no one was offended, just seemed funny to me
