Here are my thoughts on this question. I definitely know that there will be a wide range of material. If you know the very basics (which you should since you are working as a social media consultant) then I think you will get some valuable information from this. I don’t think this conference is good for people who don’t understand how Facebook works at all, or haven’t signed up for Twitter yet. It’s not at that early early stage. But if you are using Facebook and Twitter regularly, even if you just have 100 followers or fans, you will get something out of this.
Where I think the REAL value comes in for these types of conferences is in the networking. Since you are on a budget (I’m guessing since you are early in your business) you may wonder if you should spend your money here or something online. Online learning is great but it can’t replace making actual connections. I know my own business would not be where it was today if I didn’t make some sacrifices and go to live events.
All that being said, there are a LOT of places to spend money – I know how that can be. So if you decide it’s not the right time, then that’s ok too. You know your business and what you need better than I do. So make sure you are doing the right thing for you and your business. Hope that all helps!!
