Great question @rich-brooksI love using Mayo Clinic’s page as an example of what a hospital/health care site should post.  I like their page because of the patient stories, health tips and sometimes they have very entertaining posts.  They did this whole funny youtube video that was a song about blood pressure – now I can’t find it because they have a ton of videos on Youtube.  But they make it entertaining.  It’s tough because they have a big budget but they are a good model:  http://www.facebook.com/MayoClinic

Have others seen good hospital pages?

This is a tough one! I know because I manage social media at a medical practice and there are several privacy guidelines we must keep with our patients.  However, it is an awesome space to interact with patience and increase patient retention.  There’s plenty of fun stuff you can do!  I start by setting up campaigns that run every couple of weeks.  For instance, this month is heart health month, so we run campaigns that help educate our patients on heart health.  We include health tips, Q&A live sessions, videos and a few events.
