6 months, 2 weeks ago: I have found that CTR does vary widely with the audience, @danielle-piesowocki and the subject matter. I’ve found 0.05% to be a good average CTR for ads I’ve run. Others claim more but could be running ads for “Like this puppy” or something that is going to get a lot of natural clicks. I’m talking a range of businesses. If the audience is more enthusiastic, you can have a better click through rate like more in the 0.10 – 0.20% rate.
I’ve also been in the health market and those ads have run more in the 0.07% but it could also depend on the CTR. The cost is then determined by the performance of the ad. You will see a suggested bid range and you will typically pay lower than that click price. But if your ad performs well, you’ll pay even less. Ads are running a bit cheaper than I’ve seen them in the past and typically click prices are more in the $0.75 range. Again you can get lower if your ad is performing well. Hope that helps!
