Thanks to Cnet, and chasing a bunch of rabbit trails, I just discovered that Facebook has a set of keyboard shortcuts you can use to navigate the site.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts for Facebook:

Windows
Firefox modifier: Shift + Alt + #
Chrome modifier: Alt + #

Mac
Firefox modifier: Control + #
Chrome modifier: Control + Option + #
Safari modifier: Control + Option + #

Also, when browsing photos you can use the arrow keys to navigate from one photo to the next.

Another cool shortcut you can use with Facebook photos is to simply hit ‘L’ to like a photo. Hitting ‘L’ again will remove the like from the photo.

For photos:

• L: Like/Unlike photos
• Left and right arrow keys: Skip back and forth between photos

I’m pretty much with you on this, but I can see using #1 & 2 to get back “home” while on facebook.

Also, using the arrows while looking at pictures can be quite a bit quicker than try to manually flip the pics.
