Hi all – I just started with Skydive Dubai as their social media manager.

I went to update the name of the page as it still has the long string of numbers as part of the page name.

I am trying to change the name to simply Skydive-Dubai. Unfortunately it won’t let me as it says the name has been taken. I’ve tried it with and without the hypen and other combinations. 
To be honest, all I want to do is delete the string of numbers after Dubai. 

Any suggestions or are we stuck with the numbers at the end?

You also may want to @robinoshaughnessy contact Facebook with proof that this is your official name and provide some documentation.   That may help.

Or you can try just adding something like “Now” to the end of it or “Yes” to the beginning.  I think the other benefit of the custom URL is being able to easily give people the address and if you make it too long, it’s hard to remember.

I think this was set to avoid people truing to ride on another name.
