Trade Association member engagement (3 posts)

  • I am still new to Facebook for business (non-personal) even though I have taken many webinars and read many articles. Starting this week, I will be responsible for an association FB page. Other than our annual conference and a few key reports, I am wondering what other topics to add to my editorial calendar.

What has worked with your trade (or any) association to get the community engaged? My members are c-level and owners in the advertising realm whom are extremely busy.

    Thanks!

  • Trade associations can be challenging  @kc_kreative .  Especially with C-level people who may not be on Facebook as much and may not think of it for business.  But I have worked with an association and we have found keeping things social can work better than we thought.  We get more response on social question and then mix in business articles and industry news.  Photos also work well from events, and from the office activities.

    Who else has ideas?

  • @andrea-vahl Thank you for the ideas. There isn’t too much office activity as only 3 are on staff. We are also staff of the association management company.  It may be that enough content is generated leading up and after the annual conference with pictures and videos. I hope that we hear back from other FB users/managers!
