Survey: ”The ROI on Social Media Marketing” – Asking for your help! (5 posts)

  • Hi everyone out there!

I have a bit of a special, but to me very important, request to you:

My name is Robert Flunger, and I am currently a student of “International Management” at the University of applied sciences – FH Joanneum in Graz, Austria. As such, I am working on my Bachelor Paper concerning the topic of “The ROI on Social Media Marketing”.

Therefore I have created a survey, targeted on business professionals who were or are dealing with this topic. The purpose is to determine the current situation in practical matters, to find out how the ROI on Social Media Marketing is perceived today.

I would be very, very thankful, if at least some of you would take the time and respond to the survey – I promise you that it won’t take much longer than 10 minutes :) Also it would be awesome if you could share it with other potential respondents you might know – I totally appreciate every single response I can get, and I guarantee that the data will only be used for scientific purpose, there’s no commercial background at all.

If you have some further questions or remarks, please feel free to contact me here or via e-mail.

Here is the link to the survey: https://www.soscisurvey.de/roi_smm/

Thanks a lot, and greetings to you from Austria :)

  • Always happy to help out a fellow Austrian, @robertf90 ;-)

Most likely you know this book already, but I’m just reading this:

    http://www.amazon.de/ROI-Social-Media-Marketing-Investment/dp/0470827416/ref=sr_1_1?s=books-intl-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1334838816&sr=1-1

It’s too early for me to make a statement on the book (am only on page 65), but you might want to check out the book preview on Amazon to see if it could be of value to you…

  • Just completed it! Glad to help!

  • Hey, thanks a lot to both of you! :)  And yes – I already know this book, and I found some concepts of Guy Powell very useful for my thesis. Together with Olivier Blanchard’s book it is my main source for the theoretical part. :)

I still need a few more responses, so if you know anyone else who can do the survey, it would be awesome if you share the link, since I’m lacking a bit of specific contacts. :)

    Best Regards!

  • What would really be interesting is a survey that allows non-business social media to figure their ROI, namely government agencies like ours. We spend a lot of time on FB, Twitter and the rest, but other than looking at “likes” and retweets, can’t tell what the response is. And we can’t run contests or offer giveaways.

Maybe you can at least mention that ROI isn’t always easy to determine when you write your thesis.

    Good luck.
