Superbowl 2013….What could I do with this? (5 posts)

  • Ok, does anyone have any great ideas for a company Super Bowl Party or way to promote ourselves along with the Super Bowl? We are certainly a classy office in a new high end neighborhood of Houston TX. Tailgate may not be appropriate. My company is in the BIG GAME this year and I think it’s a great opportunity.
Will also make me feel better in case my team doesn’t make it. lol.
     Ideas?

  • Here is what corporate has on Youtube…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-fSv8NO4f0

  • Loved the Youtube promo…very “New Year’s Eve” like with the fireworks and all.  If you want to take it a step up from the usual “football tailgate” atmosphere, maybe you should run with the classy New Year’s thing?  Champagne and other sparkling wines, high end canapes (mini crab cakes, sushi bar, lollipop lamb chops, ceviche, and the like).

If you don’t have a venue in mind already, look for something with awesome window views and, since it will probably be dark out depending on your start time, decorate with a lot of white lights.

Make is “dress up” and a real celebration.

    Just my thoughts!

  • I like @kimkline suggestion @raul-lorenzana  – if you are high end, you can go high end.  But I don’t know if I would make it dressy – people typically don’t want to dress up to watch a football game.  But it could be billed as the “Classiest Tailgate you’ll ever attend” or something like that.  You could emphasize the good food.  But that can also then get pricy.

Are you having it at your office?

  • @raul-lorenzana I watched the Super Bowl in a movie theater once. It was nice on the big screen though I would’ve preferred a comfy couch or chair to the movie seats! I wonder if a hotel lounge might be a good spot where there is comfy furniture and a big screen. I like @kimkline ‘s idea of something to see after the sun goes down if you have a lot of windows in the facility.

During the game or beforehand, do some contests on the advertising, trivia, the half-time performance.  What about a bingo card for the game? Sometimes Parade magazine has these pre-made already.

Another thought, though it’s not Super Bowl related necessarily, is to hold a scavenger hunt that ends up in your building. Or you could hold the scavenger hunt in the building…

    Good luck!
