Suggestions for Facebook LIKE Drive (8 posts)

  • I have a client that is very successful with their FB fans and would like to continue to build their audience.  They are very interested in the Like Drive for Non Profit benefit.  Does anyone have any tips or suggestions from experience on this?

I plan to use Shortstack App.

    Thanks!

  • I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of this, @melissaholmes – is there a link to an article that describes what it is?  I couldn’t find one.  Sounds interesting though!

  • Basically it is an app that counts the likes & shares, etc to build up points or money for a business to donate to a benefit.

There are lots of them on FB already, Shortstack has the option, I am just wondering if there are some tips other than the basic info in making it super successful.

  • Ahh interesting @melissaholmes – You may want to check with John Haydon on this one  at http://www.facebook.com/InboundZombie  Or if anyone else has any experience with this, I’d love to hear about it!

  • @melissaholmes… We had very good success w/ this… We used a Shortstack App and were able to monitor the likes as they came in.  My company was hired by a furniture store that already had ties to a local non-profit and we decided that they would donate $1 for every like within a specific time frame.  We set a goal and easily doubled it by posting often and kept remding them of the “Fan Drive”.
One thing that you should make sure you do is share the link directly to the Shortstack App rather than just to your fan page.  The response is better and is easier for people to follow.

    Good Luck!!

  • @cristmg  – thanks!  I do prefer the direct link and luckily shortstack has the short link available.

question – what kind of post or picture type thing was used for the drive?

  • @melissaholmes  https://www.facebook.com/swannsfurniture was the client and we used just a simple graphic with the words “Fan Drive”.  No picture other than it was coinciding w/ the Grand Opening of their new store.  Several times I used photos of the store and/or their logo.
Let me know if can help!

  • @cristmg  – great looking page!  I love how the regular photo has a nice presence.  It is tough to pull that off with a photo.

    thank you for the feedback!
