Suggestions? For Direct Sales Social Media (4 posts)

  • Hi Everyone!

I’m wondering if anyone has some brilliant ideas of how to market a direct sales beauty business on social media … Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, G+ and Pinterest.

    I appreciate all suggestions.

  • im  on the  same  track….trying to   get a  good plot  for   selling   a  very few things online….mine will  focus on pinterest and  facebook…. on pinterest im planning  to put a few  things with pricetags….that  gets  you into the gift  category, people know its for sale, and on  the  picture  i  plan to have a link   to  where our pay pal set up is..i hate toput pricetags on  my   boards  so im  still thinking about that….i will probably  try  for one   board   just  for  the priced  stuff….

…beauty is  so huge on  pinterest….i would   look  there and  see how  the  competition is  doing it…..if  you  get   a great  beauty   set of  boards  going  there  would  be   a lot of   chances to selll…

a great  online seller i know is  MOODSWINGS ON THE NET….i was on a forum with her once..

  • Direct sales/Network Marketing can be a tough one, @amyhallbiz!   Not quite the same as your business, @annfurnivall – I’m pretty sure Amy is talking about businesses like Mary Kay, etc.
What I think works is to share general beauty tips that people can use as much as possible.  Source them from a variety of places.  Pinterest can be a great place too.  If you do a search on some of the other companies like Arbonne:  http://pinterest.com/search/?q=arbonne  You can see what is being re-pinned and commented on.  I think having not only product info but other boards is key too.

The other issue with Direct sales is that some of the companies have restrictions on what you can and can’t do with the Page titles and Twitter names.  So make sure that is being respected.  Hope that helps some!

  • i know we arent the  same kind of  business….but   working within  pinterest  would have some  things in  common…..  like  flooding  your pin  boards  with  priced things….to me  thats a hard  question….i think  pinterest is   as  big in her world as  in mine…

i would  be selling metal letters and signs. and she would  be selling lipstick i assume….  maybe to the same women…i dont sell online at all at this time…but im  thinking about it…
