  • ok, so i’m new, very new.. lol. ive been using facebook personally for about 3 years now. made my first twitter account last month and pinned casually to pinterest since finding them last year. i’m a mother of 3 children and have just written my first ebook on a baby related area, based on personal experience. my friend who is now expecting baby #3 and myself have started a moms based website as our launch pad for our baby and mom related ebooks. i need some help and some pointers on how to move facebook traffic to my base and page, without spending huge amounts of money that we just dont have. we have not launched the website as yet because all the categories are currently being filled with content. any tips and advice greatly welcomed!

  • Hi Nicolette- From our experience, it is best to offer some sort of incentive. That can come in the form of discounts or exposure to a killer blog. Most people will not have an interest in visiting your website without some sort of incentive. You’ve got to make your facebook posts as interesting as possible…. “Check out our website” just doesn’t get it. You can visit http://www.rockinmississippi.com to view my blog. My blog has been an effectual way to drive traffic to our site despite the fact that my articles on the rock and roll home and family are not directly related to the core mission of the site. Some examples for your blog could be “Our Funny Family Moment” Moms could share funny moments that are family related. (My little girl painted our male dog’s toenails pink and put a ruffle bathing suit on him, lol. I knew my Becca Lynn was up to something!) “Vacation Ideas for the Family” “Crafts for Little Ones” “Hands on Activities and Ideas” …… I wish you the best with your launch!!!!

  • i have been thinking on the interaction area but i think my first issue is where to get the fans from in the first place!

  • Circle of Moms has a place where you could announce your launch, website info, and facebook link. You could also post at Women Bloom. I am sure there are other women/mom sites like those where you can announce for free. You could also type in “Mom” on the facebook search bar and post your announcement to mom communities and pages. I also thought that you could make flyers and ask baby and children’s clothing stores & OB Gyns to display for you.
