Hi Everyone,
I am new in Social Media, working as a Content writer and social media executive from last 6 months… My company works on Mobile development(Android and windows)..Increased twitter follower from 29 to 345 in 6 months..I know it’s bad statics, but don’t know what to to do…Similarly FB followers are increasing at a very slow rate…So, I thought I should start a contest, but that is not working even..Had started contest at facebook @ http://www.facebook.com/creatiosoft?ref=hl …I am posting here so that any of you can help me tell that if I missed any point in my content due to which it failed….Any Help??

@sonali Well, it depends on multiple factors like target audience, location, audience age and gender etc. So make sure when you are designing your contest, it is totally audience specific, location specific and age-gender specific. Apart from this, you can also try fb ads with same parameters of age, gender and location. Also, offering great content and knowledge to fans help us grow fans and thus helps us build robust identity.By the way can you give me a snap of what your contest look alike? What it is about and what you are offering?

Well..Thanks for reply, But I think the problem is like my company started last 8-9 month before only..So, they don’t have so much fund to spend money on FB Adds..That’s why we are searching free marketing stuff.. I thought to start a contest, but how I can target audience, because to target audience, there must be sufficient number of audience, which we don’t have… Anyways, it’s a long story to discuss, uploading contest image, if you can give any suggestions..

Be careful, to organise a contest you should use a 3rd party app. Otherwise Facebook could ban your page.
To organise any kind of promo, you need a minumum initial audience (or spend money on ads), without that it will be quite hard to get results

I guess you are right, so what other thing can help me in increasing virality of my post…. As lot of our app doesn’t get that much of reach, which they deserve, due to lack of number of followers…

@sonali Use a third party app for a simple promotion. There are some which are for free (search for the ones which support open graph). The prize should be interesting for users. And you have to support with some ads to let people know
