social media Icons for email signatures (6 posts)

  • My boss wants me to secure social media icons for our email signatures.  Can anyone tell me the best way to go about this… ?   I don’t want to mess up our network by using the wrong program.

I did try WiseStamp and it reconfigured my laptop browser etc..  so I uninstalled it.

Thanks for any direction you can all provide!

  • @hendione I didn’t go through a program when I did ours. I got the icons from the social media sites and then re-sized and updated the HTML linking for each button. I sized them all the same and had the links direct to the appropriate page matching the icon. If you are comfortable with this formatting it is what I would recommend. The icons were distributed in our Email Signature policy and varied based on location.
    Hope this helps!

  • Is there coding involved or is it something I can do (novice)?  I don’t have a IT resource inhouse.

  • @hendione The only coding is adding the website link. Our signatures are in Outlook so i saved the image of the logo button and inserted the image and then resized and added the HTML link through the linking in Word. Then once they were complete with the signature template information I saved and put into Outlook.

  • Ok, thanks, I will use your instructions and attempt!  Thanks again!

  • The other site that works well to put icons into signatures, @hendione is wisestamp.com.  But sometimes having more control by doing it yourself is also a good option!
